Fall has quickly descended upon us.  With October fast approaching, the weather will hopefully soon turn chilly, and many of us will be thinking of all of the wonderful fall flavors to indulge in.  For those of you who are trying to eat healthy and/or lose weight either with GLP’1s or with bariatric surgery, this season may bring challenges.  But, in this post, I am here to tell you that you can enjoy a flavor-filled fall without sacrificing your goals.   

Here is a recipe roundup of some of my favorite tasty and healthy fall food ideas: 

Main Proteins: 

Pork Chop with cooked apples 

Healthier Pot Roast

Beef Stew without Wine

Lemon Rosemary Roasted Chicken 

Bariatric-friendly Shepherd’s Pie

Vegetable sides:

Cauliflower mac n cheese

Sauteed Green Beans

Balsamic Brussel sprouts

Maple glazed carrots

Sauteed Carmelized onions and kale

Healthy Fall Pomegranate Salad – Substitute the honey for sugar free maple syrup to reduce added sugars

Good Carb Sides:

Air fried apples – for reduced added sugar, substitute sugar for splenda or sugar-free maple syrup

Roasted Butternut Squash – For a sweet Fall twist, coat in sugar-free maple syrup and cinnamon before roasting

Weight Watchers Greek Yogurt Cheesecake – Add a Fall twist by adding cinnamon and or pumpkin pie spice to the batter and drizzling with sugar free caramel
